Digital Document — There’s More To It Than You May Think

When you refer to a paper document, we all know what you mean. It’s something you can hold in your hands, or at any rate, physically touch that is made out of paper. Easy. And, at first blush, it probably seems just as obvious what a digital document is, right? It’s a written piece that’s not paper, but a file on your computer. Well, yes, that’s true, but it can also be a whole lot more.

A digital document is truly a product of the computer age. It can be anything that can be stored as a file on your computer. Anything. That means a digital document can be an architect’s schematic drawing that’s committed to a computer file, a photograph, even an application can be considered a digital document. While it’s not a rock you find in the park, a digital document can be a photo you take of the rock in the park. While an idea you have in your head isn’t a digital document, a verbalized recording of your idea can be. The definition of “digital document” seems to expand all the time.

The advent of the digital document is ultimately a move toward a paperless society. That’s a good thing for Mother Earth and also, when you think about it, for business too.

The file-stored digital document, whatever it consists of, is actually far more enduring and better preserved than a papyrus or paper document could ever be. Think about the condition of the Dead Sea Scrolls and imagine how much better our understanding of those texts would be today if they had been stored as digital documents through the ages. The truth is, our society might be doing certain things a whole lot differently today!

Amazingly, the advent of the computer age and digital documents has led to the creation of software that effectively “shreds” the digital document, removing it forever from your computer. This is important because even after you have deleted a digital document from your system, it remains in the memory recesses of your computer. This can be critically important if the digital document you thought you deleted contained a sensitive corporate information, “trade secrets,” meant only for select eyes.

Managing digital documents through their creation, use, sharing, storing, archiving and even deletion has become an essential part of business today. Because you have so much riding on t
1000
he security of your digital documents, it makes sense to consult with information management experts as you set up your system for handling your precious and valuable digital document resources. It’s just good business.

What are the annunaki? are they comming in 2012?

The annunaki are a race of gods in Sumerian(?) mythology. Zechariah Sitchin used the name to refer to his supposed “Ancient Astronauts”, being one of those idiots who see a flying saucer in every myth. David Icke then ran with it all the way to the bank.
The annunaki are not aliens, and they're not coming in 2012.

Imaging Technology Restores Damaged Madhva Text

Scientists who worked on the Archimedes Palimpsest are using modern imaging technologies to digitally restore a 700-year-old Vaishnava palm-leaf manuscript. The project, led by P.R. Mukund and Roger L. Easton Jr., professors at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, will digitally preserve the original writings known as the Sarvamoola-granthas, attributed to the scholarly preceptor Sripada Madhvacharya (1238-1317). The collection of 36 works contains his Sanskrit commentaries on sacred scriptures and conveys an exposition of his philosophical system (popularly known as Dvaita Vedanta, to emphasize its departure from Sripada Sankaracharya’s earlier system of Advaita Vedanta).

The document is difficult to handle and to read, the result of centuries of inappropriate storage techniques, botched preservation efforts and degradation due to improper handling. Each leaf of the manuscript measures 26 inches long and two inches wide (66cm X 5cm), and is bound together with braided cord threaded through two holes. Heavy wooden covers sandwich the 340 palm leaves, cracked and chipped at the edges. Time and a misguided application of oil have aged the palm leaves dark brown, obscuring the Sanskrit writings.

It is literally crumbling to dust, says Mukund, the Gleason Professor of Electrical Engineering at RIT. According to Mukund, 15 percent of the manuscript is missing. The book will never be opened again, unless there is a compelling reason to do so, Mukund says, because every time they do, they lose some. After this, there won’t be a need to open the book.

Mukund first became involved with the project when his spiritual teacher in India brought the problem to his attention and urged him to find a solution. This became a personal goal for Mukund, who studies and teaches sanatan-dharma and understood the importance of preserving the document for future scholars. The accuracy of existing printed copies of the Sarvamoola-granthas is unknown.

Mukund sought the expertise of RIT colleague Easton, who had imaged the Dead Sea Scrolls and is currently working on the Archimedes Palimpsest. Easton, a professor at RIT Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, brought in Keith Knox, an imaging senior scientist at Boeing LTS, as a con
1000
sultant. Mukund added Ajay Pasupuleti, a doctoral candidate in microsystems at RIT, and the team was formed.

The scientists traveled to India in December 2005 to assess the document stored at a monastery-like matha in Udupi, India. Sponsored by a grant from RIT, the team returned to the monastery in June and spent six days imaging the document using a scientific digital camera and an infrared filter to enhance the contrast between the ink and the palm leaf. Images of each palm leaf, back and front, were captured in eight to ten sections, then processed and digitally stitched together.

“The imaging is fairly straightforward,” said Easton. The leaves, or what remained of them, were laid out on a movable tabletop. Like an assembly line worker, Pasupuleti spent hours a day advancing the tabletop a short distance, taking a picture and then repeating the process. Each image covered a two-inch (5cm X 5cm) square of leaf. The summer was spent digitally stitching the 7,900 images together – work overseen in large part by Knox, using various image-processing algorithms using Adobe Photoshop and Knox’s custom software.

This is a very significant application of the same types of tools that we have used on the Archimedes Palimpsest, Easton says. Not incidentally, this also has been one of the most enjoyable projects in my career, since the results will be of great interest to a large number of people in India.

The processed images of the Sarvamoola-granthas will be stored in a variety of media formats, including electronically, in published books and on silicon wafers for long-term preservation. Etching the sacred writings on silicon wafers was the idea of Mukund’s student Pasupuleti. The process, called aluminum metallization, transfers an image to a wafer by creating a negative of the image and depositing metal on the silicon surface. According to Pasupuleti, each wafer can hold the image of three leaves. More than a hundred such wafers will be needed to store the entire manuscript. As an archival material, silicon wafers are both fireproof and waterproof, and are readable with the use of a magnifying glass.

Mukund and Pasupuleti will return to India at the end of November to give printed and electronic versions of the Sarvamoola-granthas to the monastery in Udupi in a public ceremony in Bangalore, the largest city in the Karnataka region. We feel we were blessed to have this opportunity to do this, Mukund says. It was a fantastic and profoundly spiritual experience, and we all came away cleansed.

Based on the success of this project, Mukund is seeking funding to image other Dvaita-sampradaya Vaishnava manuscripts in the Udupi region written since the time of Sripada Madhvacharya. He estimates the existence of approximately 800 palm leaf manuscripts, some of which are in private collections.

CAPTION:

Each palm leaf of the sacred manuscript, the Sarvamoola-granthas, was captured in multiple sections, processed and digitally stitched together. The somewhat blurred image shows the condition of an original leaf from the text, stitched together but unprocessed. The sharper image shows a stitched and processed page after applying modern imaging technologies. Images were taken by Roger Easton, from Rochester Institute of Technology, and Keith Knox, from Boeing LTS, using a Sensys scientific digital camera and an infrared filter.

Planet Nibiru Visible?

Okay so i've been doing research on Planet Nibiru for about a year now and this one thing caught my attention. There's this youtube video of a man who recorded the coordinates 6h41m55.77s, 41 35' 19.45″ in the night sky and there was a bright object with an orbiting moon that moved spots in his other videos. In the video you can see about 4 satellite/telescopes in the sky pass by it.. as he posted the coordinates on the video i searched them on Google Sky and what i find ? A completely Black Box. No, not the famous one with blueish star cut off but a NEW box. One that wasn't there before until his video was posted in April.. Does anybody else here believe that Planet X/Nibiru exsists? I mean seriously, all the recent earthquakes and disasters… ? anyone else get what i'm trying to say ?

As it gets harder and harder for aspiring authors to get their books picked up by traditional publishing houses, more and more bloggers are finding publishers simply coming to them with contracts in hand. If you keep up with books at all, you know that agents and publishers have picked up several author’s blogs and made them into books since about 2005. For example, Julia & Julia, PostSecret and Stuff White People Like all appeared as blogs before they became books. Of course, Julia & Julia also became a hit movie.

For this reason, I decided to begin blogging a book about how to blog a successful book?a book that might be found by an agent or acquisitions editor trolling the Internet for publishable fodder.

When asked why I would even consider blogging a book about how to blog a book I replied, “I’m doing it because blogging a book represents a great idea.” It’s true! In the Internet Age?and given the current state of traditional publishing?writers have to become more creative. They have to take their careers into their own hands. They have to become their own PR representatives and promotion and marketing directors. They have to start their own publishing companies. They have to take advantage of the current technology.

I wants to encourage other writers to begin blogging their books. Even if their books aren’t discovered, doing so provides a great way to actually get a book written. I started blogging a book that I’ll complete in less than four months. I never write more than about 500 words per day; on average my posts have only 200-300 words.

Plus, the price is right. Some bloggers may choose to have a hosted blog, paying about $100 per year. Others may start out with a free blog, which means their start up cost is zilch! And each time they hit the “publish” button on their blogging software (which is free), they self-publish content for free.

Additionally, if a blogger writes good copy and promotes the blog well, he or she might actually gain more readers than with a traditionally published book. One of my blogs, gets about 1,750 unique visitors per month. Other bloggers get millions of readers per month, but if I published a traditional book, I wouldn’t likely sell 100 books in a month. The average nonfiction book sells between 250 and 1,000 copies in its lifetime, let alone in a year. I reach more readers with my blog than I would with a book in a bookstore. That’s a great reason for any aspiring author or writer to want to blog a book or simply to blog.

Blogs constitute one of the best ways to build the coveted writer’s platform. In the past, going out and speaking to audiences provided writers with that platform. Today, you can build one from the comfort of your home. I’m not saying that a writer’s platform doesn’t benefit from some talks given here and there; it does. However, a blog read by thousands of people each day goes a long way towards impressing a publisher or selling your self-published book.

by: Mary Foley

February, the month of love! The time when our culture sends messages of diamond jewelry, roses, chocolates and Victoria’s Secret. Oh, to have all these things – well, to have one of these things – heck to even have a date, and we should be happy, right? That means we are loved. But many a Valentine’s Day has come and gone with no jewelry, no roses, and no chocolate, and I personally like to shop at Victoria’s Secret during a sale. Still, I believe our desire to be loved is THE thing we’re all really after. Not just in February, either, but all year long.

Feeling loved takes different forms like acceptance, approval, and success. We want desperately to feel good about ourselves and for the world, especially a specific someone, to tell us we’re loved. I know I’ve felt that way. I’ve also unknowingly absorbed the messages of our advertising culture that basically tell us to buy this, wear that and you’ll get the love you want. It’s all out there. Very few messages say look within, it’s all in here.

But that’s the truth: it is all inside. Like many, I have family, friends and a special someone who loves me. I’ve also had times of strained relationships where it was tough to give or receive much love. No matter my circumstances, I’ve learned that no one can give me love without me giving it to myself first. And no one can do that for me but me.

Being responsible for fulfilling our own need to know we’re loved means not looking to other people in our lives to do the job. When they fail (which always happens in some way), hurt and blame often follow. At the same time, when we accept responsibility for loving ourselves we sometimes feel selfish. Filling up our tank means we need to spend time focusing on ourselves. The good girl inside says always give to others first before taking care of yourself. Well, again, the good girl isn’t quite right. Instead, take some wisdom from the airplane safety message: “In case of loss of cabin air pressure, put your mask on first before helping others.” Love yourself first and then you’re best equipped to love and help others.

Take this designated month of love and like the song lyrics ask yourself “Who you do love?” Are you the first person who comes to mind? Perhaps it’s time to make some internal adjustment. By loving yourself you give yourself and others the biggest gift possible. Now, that’s bodacious.

Jewish Teachings And The Bible

Jewish teachings and Bible share a common platform and share a special relation. One of the most important concerns of classic Jewish thought is the importance of biblical texts, and their elucidation. Another major concern of classical Judaism is the execution and application of the Jewish law, known as “halakhah”, derived from biblical and rabbinic sources.

In ancient time:

The practice of reading, interpreting, and explaining biblical texts is an old Jewish pre-occupation. The book of Nehemiah presents some insight into ancient biblical analysis, reflective of early Judaism during the Persian period. Of the time, when it mentions that Ezra opened the book (the Torah) and that the Levites “read from the book of the Law of God, with interpretation. They gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.”(Nehemiah 8:1-8)

In this context, it appears that the Levites served as the expositors of the biblical text. This also appears to reveal the pattern of literacy of the priests in non-Jewish circles, as well as during this period of time. Levites and Priests often served as the scribes.

With the passage of time:

As time passed by, the scribal classes evolved. By the late Second Temple period, the analysis of biblical texts did not remain in the hands of priestly circles. The demolition of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 CE led to the end of the priestly authority over religious leadership. Thereafter, the explanation of texts became the purview of the rabbis.

The rising awareness to sacred texts in the Greco-Roman era inevitably formed the foundation for the materialization of sectarian conflict, among groups such as the Pharisees and Sadducees. The interpretation and reinterpretation of biblical texts resulted in a more powerful self-understanding, of distinctiveness among the various groups that arose during the Second Temple period.

The community at Qumran that produced the Dead Sea scrolls also developed an exclusive form of elucidation. The understanding of the Bible served as the chief factor in determining varying renditions of archetypes envisioned in sacred texts.

Rabbinic period:

The early rabbinic period saw the materialization of v
1000
arious Aramaic translations of the Torah. These are referred to as Targumim. Some of these translations were reasonably “literal” in their approach. The others were rather loose in their translation with the aim of elucidating obscure passages. There are many conventional Jewish Bibles that are known as Chumashim (meaning the five books) and comprise the Targum Onkelos.

Medieval period:

By the medieval period, the practice of the biblical interpretation reached its peak in the Jewish community. A number of well-known rabbis started writing wide-ranging commentaries on the Bible, using a range of hermeneutical methods.

Till today, Jewish teachings -,and the Bible share an unbreakable bond. The analysis and comprehensive interpretation of one is incomplete without the other.

The Famous Dead Sea Scrolls

The Dead Sea isn’t really a sea its actually a lake. The sea has no outlet for the water to go and that is why the evaporation causes the salt content to be high.
Many tourists that hear about the Dead Sea wonder what it is all about. The Dead Sea is extremely deep, it is about 1000 feet.
The Dead Sea scrolls are about 900 documents. The Dead Sea scrolls were first discovered in the year 1947 in a cave on the northeast side of the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea scrolls are a significant piece of history and they are written in several languages like Hebrew, Aramaic, and even Greek.
The Dead Sea scrolls can be divided into two categories: biblical and non biblical. The scrolls are also the oldest group of Old Testament manuscripts that were ever found. There are several museums that display parts of the Dead Sea scrolls like the Jewish museum in New York City, and the royal Ontario museum of Toronto.
The scrolls contain never heard stories about biblical figures like Enoch, Abraham, and Noah. They were mainly made from animals skin and written from right to left. Since the scrolls are mainly written in Hebrew they have greatly enhanced our knowledge about that language.
The discovering of the Dead Sea scrolls has truly revolutionized our understanding on how the bible was translated. Many believe that the Dead Sea scrolls are a link between Christianity and Judaism.
Some books that were written about the Dead Sea Scrolls offer a translation of them. Ever since the scrolls were discovered somewhere between the year 1947 and 1956 many books have been published about the scrolls.
Jewish history contains a long list of documents that are important to the Jewish tradition. Among those documents are the Dead Sea Scrolls that were discovered somewhere between 1947 and 1956.

These are some of the highlights of a connected story of Milesian/Phocaean/ Phoenician architects who allow ‘his’-story to confuse the masses. It is still going on and we must try to change it. There was a better time if one is concerned for freedom and ethics, and there is no Malthusian ‘one pie’ to worry about. Creative potential can develop new pies!

CHAPTER TWO: MOSES, MIRIAM AND THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS:

-Mariae is the sister of Moses who ‘discussed the problem of the whitening of the stone in a few days.’ (Stone = The alchemical Great Work)

- Rabbi Silver gives insight to the lengths those in need of sheep will go to defend their position and keep their ‘flock’ ignorant.

-”. .Thoth-Hermes and Imhotep-Asklepios… these two cults and elements in the two Moses stories” have ‘numerous similarities’- Rabbis agree

-The Old Testament of Augustine who merely interpreted Genesis (falsely) was written by a woman (‘The Book of ‘J”).

-There was no such word as Essene. A debate on derivations provides some interesting connections from Bible and Dead Sea scholars.

-”For the Essenes we have only what was said about them by outsiders writing in a different language and for people who knew nothing at all about them.” -’The Dead Sea Scrolls’ by Millar Burrows

-Jesus and his father were wise ‘arch-tectons’ in the Septuagint which is the Greek Bible once thought to be the first Bible, not poor carpenters.

-Hyam Maccoby, ‘a leading Talmudic scholar’ says “Paul alone created a new religion through his vision of Jesus as a divine Savior who died to save humanity.”… taken “from Gnosticism and the mystery cults.”

-”Jesus’ threat to the Temple was not subversive… of Jewish religion, but it was a real threat to the quisling regime of the High Priest. (Appointed by Rome)… rather it was the Jews who were framed by the Gospels.”

CHAPTER THREE: THE ‘TUATHA De DANAAN’ & THE RED-HEADED LEAGUE OF MEGALITH BUILDERS:

-”The sacred books of ‘the subject peoples had a special place in this systematic project of collection and translation, because religion was, for those who wished to rule them, a kind of gateway to their souls.” (2)

-”… the bearded white gods South America’s shadowy legends say brought knowledge and culture to Andean tribes.” (3)

-”Some scholars now feel that the early Hebrew Bible shows an enormous amount of influence from Canaanite and Phoenician sources…Through the Bible the entire civilized world has fallen heir to Phoenician literary art.” (6)

-”The group that emerged by the time Dido arrived was culturally diverse, ruggedly independent and, as Herodotus has emphasized, often given to animistic religious practices, which means simply that they may have venerated natural phenomena…” -’Carthage’ by top scholars, on the Berbers.

-Velikovsky supported by Einstein comments on the top Egyptologist Sir Flinders-Petrie – “This script was known in Egypt for a thousand years for a thousand years; it was never used to write down an Egyptian text…”

-Barry Fell from ‘America BC.’-”The rise and fall of Celtic sea power has been strangely neglected by most historians and archaeologists as to prompt much skepticism when first I began to report Celtic inscription in America. ‘I can’t say I’ve ever heard that the Celts were seafarers,’ was a typical comment.” – watch the movie ‘Spartacus’ and see him talk to Keltic sea captains [Seleucids] who controlled the Mediterranean.-Mystery Hill, N.H.

-”Simon Magus himself was of the race of the Gaedhils of Erinn.” A Celtic Reader’

CHAPTER FOUR: POSSIBILITY-THINKING AND SOUTH AMERICA!:

-”Colombia’s outstanding archaeological remains occur along the Atlantic coasts of Santa Maria. Here were found abundant evidences of a sprawling public works’ system, cities and ceremonial centers, paved roads, efficient irrigation and sophisticated agricultural practices… resembles… Hal Saflieni, in Malta…” Ancient American, Vol. 5.

-Aristotle’s ‘Strange Things Heard’ says the Carthaginians didn’t allow people to go to America anymore in order to keep their population?

-Necho II of Egypt engages Phoenicians to travel for two years for him. We later show books that identify this time and the place they went in South America.

-Cyprus and the importance of mining led to an original Mt. Olympus.

-Recent report of l.5MM old ‘well made wooden throwing spears’ should make archaeologists swallow hard as they try to maintain our ignorant cave man heritage with spears from just 20,000 years ago(Asimov). From an unrelated article in Scientific American by linguists.

-Mayan knives from pre-Columbian times were better than iron and made from meteorites – Mircae Eliade’s ‘The Forge and the Crucible’.

-Solid state chemistry and Don Robins the top dog in a science being used that relate to the lattices that encode information in stone.

CHAPTER FIVE: THE GODS OF THE ORIGINAL MT. OLYMPUS:

-”Geophysiologists warn that if the planet does function like a body, the Earth may have the equivalent of vital organs and vulnerable points.” (l) British atmospheric scientist James Lovelock and microbiologist Lynn Margulis are able to see what ‘representational deities’ were all about.

-ILLUSTRATION: THE TREE OF YGGDRASIL – Cosmic Fire (Bel) and Cosmic Ice are in the Aristotelian concept borrowed from Shamans and they are in the sephirah of the Hassidic ‘Tree of Life’, which Jesus studied.

-Heraclitus “conceded the existence of an over-riding, all-encompassing unity, in which the apparently contradictory opposites are all linked to one another, in a single, regular, cohesive system of balanced, harmonious measure and just order.”- the ‘Logos’, the ‘I Ching’ and Miletus.

-Men and women both can live in harmony with this order according to Heraclitus who Michael Grant (top classical scholar) says: “This inertia, resulting in a total non-recognition of the truth (shared by anti-feminists… had learned about many things which had failed, however to bring them real understanding.”

-Tacitus – “So obscure are the greatest events; as some take for granted any hearsay, whatever its source, others turn truth into falsehood, and both errors find encouragement with posterity.”

-Rennes le Chateau = Jesus in PLAID swaddling clothes, “Tau – (Hebrew) St. Anthony’s cross; a T-shaped cross patterned after the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet meaning the end of the world…”

-”Essentially the Sea Peoples theory was a convenient and plausible invention of the 19th century, designed (largely by historian Gasten Maspero) to fit very limited facts.” (14)

-Lies about Pyramids as tombs for ‘freaky’ Pharaohs are debunked. The almost intact Keltic ship on the Giza plateau has a 40 Ton displacement and is not a funerary barge, with sails to go a few hundred yards.

CHAPTER SIX: BRUTUS, BRITAIN AND THE GOTHS:

-Quintus Fabius Pictor led Livy to try to make sense of a myth that has truthful roots in the ‘Aeneid’ of Virgil and the ‘Iliad’ of Homer. Both are shown support in true history and from the Phocaean/Milesian roots of Ireland. A consistent picture emerges with real historical and aristocratic families who became forced to accept EMPIRE when Brutus failed to maintain the Republic.

-1800 BC. brought the (carbon-dated) Nuraghe of Barumini, Sardinia as Jacquetta Hawkes talks about the “‘tombe di giganti’ in which the inhabitants of the nuraghi buried their dead.” and “It is difficult to avoid the terms of medieval castle architecture in describing the nuraghi.” There are over 6500 on Sardinia.

-”Picti is invariably translated = ‘Redshanks’,” epithets become history.

-Crete had the royal house of Mallia and was the origin or related to the Milesians when we know the code of Ogham and its use of vowels and doubling or reversing of letters.

CHAPTER SEVEN: SPIRITUALITY WAS NOT ‘OCCULT’ (HIDDEN):

-Mircae Eliade says: “There appears to be an unbroken continuity of folklore traditions, Taoism and alchemy: The Taoist alchemist is the successor of the hunter of medicinal remedies, who, from time immemorial, went off into the mountains with a calabash to collect magic seeds and plants.” Yet character assassins employed by the hegemony say alchemists are hermits who sought only gold for avaricious needs.

-The Hubbell photos of the center of the universe bring us proof of energy coming through from other universes and much more that mystics have known.

-The cover-up of Da Vinci’s alchemy and how he saw the ‘bicycle’ is exposed in-depth though scholars avoid it.

-These concepts are not in conflict and do not need to create stress or threaten anyone in search of truth. The ‘Zen’ of the moment is not designed to promote ignorance and lack of concern for our collective history or our soulful potential.

-”The ‘Bardo Thodol’ (‘Liberation by Hearing, on the After-Death Plane’) is among the sacred books of the world, unique. As an epitomized exposition of the cardinal doctrines of the ‘Mahäyäna’ School of Buddhism, it is of very great importance, religiously, philosophically, and historically. As a treatise based essentially upon the Occult Sciences of the ‘Yoga’…” (15)

-We know the War department contractors are working on Pyramid technologies and yet it isn’t being exposed to the general public.

-Ossianic legends of pre-Egyptian culture who founded Egypt are explored.

-Dark Matter is not the regulating force causing the increasing outward velocity of the universe. Tesla’s non-force ‘info-packets’ and Bearden’s energy from vacuums are related to the ‘one-dimensional harmonic force’.

-The ‘Triads of Bardism’ ‘enlighten the darkness’.

-Pythagoras knew the truth of the Sphinx but has been portrayed a ‘fool’.

CHAPTER EIGHT: BEL-IG-ERANT ‘Brothers’ – GOTHS & ARYANS!

-’Cleopatra’ – “This book is about them, but it is also about politics – sexual, racial and constitutional – and about morality, neurosis and desire. Above all it is about propaganda and the persuasive power…” (1)

-Jack Kerouac’s ‘Some of the Dharmas’ brings us ‘The Cause of Sorrow’.

-”Meanwhile, in early 1985, researchers at the University of Colorado announced that they had discovered a lost city in Northern Peru. The name? Gran Pajaten! How many times can you discover a city, especially one discussed in tourist guides?”

-Savoy -”The magnitude of the Gran Vilaya ruins, consisting of over 80 interconnected city-type layouts composed of some 23,950 structures to date,.” (1985 in South America) Is this where the Ostrogoths went after Italy as the ‘Chronicle of Akakor’ says was the case in 570 AD.?

-Hitler was an indolent scatophagist and pawn who would have gladly kept England and America strong, if they had only given to him what they gave to the criminal genius Stalin. In fact he would have wanted less than Poland and the other 50,000,000 Eastern Europeans who feared the same treatment the 32,000,000 Ukrainians were already getting from Stalin.

-The ‘Grail’ legends as a useful managers tool and coded study of the Merovingian dynasty of Benjaminites who are not Israeli and wish to revenge themself on those Tribes they tried to help.

CHAPTER NINE: JESUS CHRIST!!

-Those who call him Messiah are righter than they know.

-Mishnaic Law of the Judean teachers would not have allowed Jesus to be a teacher (rabbi) without having a wife.

-”the archetypal Roman shouldered the White Man’s Burden, the arduous but fabulously profitable task of governing those whom, despite all evidence to the contrary, the Romans judged incapable of governing themselves.” (Lucy Hughes-Hallett from ‘Cleopatra’)

-Jesus and His Curricula Vitae:

-Joseph of Arimathaea – Another Phoenician!

-”The excavations of Thomas W. Jacobsen at the Franchithi Cave on the Bay of Argos… by 13,000 – 11,000 B.C. and that the cultivation of hybrid grains, the domestication of animals, and organized community tuna hunts had already begun.” (Britannica) Yet there are those who say we couldn’t travel the ocean when obsidian had to be brought from a distance, at this time. They like to intimate we couldn’t travel the oceans for a reason when they say (NY Public Library’s Chronicles) the earliest recorded sea travel was in 2600 BC to Lebanon.

-What entitles unproductive half-witted inbred psychopomps and sadists to lounge around making deals to improve their power over people? The Divine Right of KINGS?!?!

CHAPTER TEN: FROM THE TEMPLARS TO TEMUJIN:

-Blood was a vital psychic or spiritual and ritualistic ingredient that communion is based upon according to Gardner and those who still do the Star Fire Ceremony with Crowley’s ‘blood of the moon’ or female hormone

-’To drink like a Templar’ became a common… Sir Walter Scott portrays them as bullies… not established to protect pilgrims.”

-Genghis Khan was a gifted ’smith’ and listener who learned a lot that his progeny built upon; and did unto others before they did unto him.

-Marco Polo was a ’slaver’ who worked with Catholic cowards whose need for concubines and slaves was enough to allow the Mongols to conquer a recently Christianized Russia. Greek Fire was available to them.

-”According to the Supreme Grand Lodge of the Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, there were thirty-nine men and women on the High Council of the Brotherhood, who sat at the Temple of Karnak in Luxor. (2) A branch of this Order became more generally known as the Egyptian Therapeutae, who in Heliopolis and Judaea, were identified as the Essenes. (3)…Jesus was later initiated…”

-Illustration; The Pyramid Propaganda:

EPILOGUE: THE GREATEST HISTORIANS!

-Bernard Mandeville brings us the Fable of the Bees which Childeric, Napoleon and the Sarmoung Brotherhood of the esoteric secret groups including the Merovingians (and the Melchizedek Mormons) use as a main symbol. He says ‘Virtue is just a pretence which man has invented for his own advantage.’

-Fukayama deals with Plato and Hegel, though appropriately notes the real master philosophy of politics – ‘Machiavelli was the founder of modern political philosophy, who believed that man could become the master of his own earthly house if he took his cues not from the way men ought to live, but the way they actually live.’

- Fukayama the social engineer, would have us believe there is little chance of another ‘Holocaust’ (in 1992 he wrote this, before the Rwanda genocide) or ‘communist resurgence’ and placates the American public with a plethora of half-truths. The Durants document the true nature of continuing cycles and ‘Dark Ages’ brought about by class and economic or power re-adjustments.

- The Pope’s 1995 encyclical spoke of a worldwide culture of death.

Having been a pastor for more than fifty years, I’ve often asked this question myself. We all basically understand the meaning of a “revelation” , it means the opposite hiding or keeping secret. If the Bible is an “unveiling” of God’s truth, then why would God’s people find it so difficult to comprehend the purpose and message of the Book of Revelation? In fact, the first verse of the Book of Revelation declares the purpose of the Book: “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God (the Father) gave unto him to show unto his servants which must shortly come to pass..”

So, clearly, God’s purpose is clearly stated as , “to show” God’s servants, future events, that God’s people are not totally aware of. Again, this Book is not written to hide the truth or to encourage ignorance, if so, why would God even write a book; or why would he make known future events for His people to understand? That would be contrary to God’s stated purpose. The very first verse of the Book of Revelation, ought to be encouragement enough to proceed to study and learn what the Book is all about.

To think or believe that the Revelation of Jesus Christ is so hard to understand and therefore, to forsake or neglect the study of the Book, is the opposite of believing God or taking Him seriously. The Lord also pronounced a Special Blessing for those who “read and keep (put into practice)” the things revealed in this Book. Interestingly, this is the only Book of the sixty-six books of the Bible, where this specific promise is given. This is one of seven encouragements to read and study this Book, found in the very chapter of the Book.

You definitely CAN UNDERSTAND the Book of Revelation, or God wouldn’t encourage His people to study it and promise a blessing if they do it. Christians need to know, that you cannot be pleasing to the Lord, when you question or doubt the very purpose God delivered this Book Jesus, the Son, and the Son gave it in a vision to the Apostle John (the human author) to show it to all His servants (believers). Is it not a denial of the Bible’s and God’s stated purpose, to avoid or disregard the study of this Book? You decide for yourself. The one thing I know by personal experience is: You CAN comprehend the Book of Revelation!

Most people believe it is not possible to know what is going to take place in the future. There are others who claim to know exactly what the future holds. One example is the fortune-tellers and astrologers and those who claim to talk to the dead. One such famous lady who appeared almost monthly in the center pages of a well-known celebrity news sheet, allegedly was a seer who could foretell future events. Another news hawk decided to see how many of her futuristic predictions had come true. He found the accuracy level was less than 1%.

Well, such an outcome is not really surprising. When mere men claim to know what the future holds, it is only guesswork. However, there is One who knows exactly what the future holds. That One is God! And He foretells in the Book He wrote, the Bible, the major events to transpire before they happen. What He reveals is going to happen can be counted on to the finest detail. What He predicts in His Word, the holy scriptures, will come to pass one hundred per cent of the time. Bible prophecy is simply “history written in advance.”

It is estimated that some 30% of the Bible’s message is prophetic. Therefore, if one is unfamiliar with the prophetic content of Holy Writ, one falls far short of being “scripturally informed”. Yes, it is true: God sees and foretells significant future events in His Word, so we need not be “ignorant of the times and the seasons.” Does that mean that every future event of your personal life can be discovered in the Bible? No, it does not. I DOES MEAN however, that future events that .effect the whole world and the people on earth, are forecast in advance. God wants His people to know what lies ahead and to be prepared for any eventuality.

One book of the Bible that is entirely prophetic is the last Book of the sixty-six: The Book of Revelation. In fact, the Book of Revelation sums up all the final events of earth-world history and reveals them to us step by step, in chronological order. No other single book of the Bible does this. In reading and studying the Book of Revelation then, we can become familiar with what is about to take place and we can be enlightened concerning the future, for our God knows the beginning and the end of all things, including human history.

Ready, Set, Go Sell Your Book In The Real World!
by: Mary Holzrichter

We hear a lot these days about more books actually being sold ‘outside’ the traditional bookstore. Think about it. When was the last time you actually took time to linger and explore the bookshelves? When did you last impulsively grab a book, flip it over, read the blurbs, and finger through a few chapters? Let’s face it, most of us are too hurried.

So What’s The Point?

If you don’t take the time to browse, why expect your potential customer to do so?

Try This:

Grab about five copies of your book, and head for the “Ma and Pa” stores in your hometown area. Pick a time when you know it won’t be too busy. Talk to the owner or manager. Ask him if you may set up a small display on his counter. Offer him a percentage of each sale.

Get Impulsive!

Go for the impulse buyers! Haven’t you at one time, while waiting at a cash register, seen a small display of books on the counter? Before it was your turn to get checked out, you grabbed it, became excited, and added it to your other purchases? Maybe it was a novel set in your locale. People love reading tales taking place in their familiar surroundings.

They think, “Oh, I’ve driven that road! I know where it is!

Where’s the next landmark? Have to find out!” They feel they become a “part” of it.

Is your book set in your region? Try your local gift shops, bed and breakfast inns, pharmacies, hair salon, even the little “quick stops.” You get the picture.

Is the hero in your book of Italian descent? Is there a lot of ethnicity? Head for the specialty shops like that little corner deli. Pesto. Gnochi. Fresh-baked focaccia. Get your book on that counter!

Maybe kayaking through turbulent river rapids is a large part of your novel. Or sky diving, race car driving, hang gliding, deep sea diving. Head on out to the sporting goods stores.

Whatever, go for it. Take control.

Another Idea

Grab your books and get a booth at the local festivals taking place in and around your area. Maybe share one with an author friend. In my area, there are different festivals every weekend throughout the summer and early fall. In the winter, many craft fairs. Think “thousands of potential customers!”

What Are You Waiting For?

I know you’re thinking, “But I only want to write!” That may be so. Promoting is time consuming. But what’s the alternative? Your book just sets there and gathers dust. So ease on out of that chair, and head on out. Let people know about your book. Talk it up. Readers who love your book will add another dimension to your promotion – word-of-mouth advertising!

Start Small and Think Big

Some stores you approach may not work! Granted. But you’ll get the ball rolling and your mind spinning. “Where else can I sell my book?” You’ll find yourself eyeing every little store as a possibility, while driving your car or strolling the sidewalks of your hometown. Who knows, you may even become your hometown’s next “celebrity!” Give it a try!

SAN FRANCISCO – In 2006 National Geographic’s release of the first English translation of an ancient text dated to the 2nd century AD, shook Christianity and the perception of the world’s most famous villain – it was The Gospel of Judas. Amidst religious controversy, it revealed that Judas was asked secretly by Jesus to betray him, and in doing so, fulfilled a divine role and plan.

“But you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me.”

Jesus to Judas, The Gospel of Judas

Secret Teachings

First published more than 50 years prior to The Gospel of Judas, but correlating with it precisely, a little known book has brought to light secret teachings thought to belong to Judas Iscariot. Newly translated, The Flight of the Feathered Serpent is the true story of journalist Armando Cosani in the Second World War. His life changes inexplicably after he meets with a mysterious man, who leaves him with a series of profound writings – one being Judas’ firsthand account of the events leading up to the betrayal, which incredibly, reveal Judas as Jesus’ closest disciple.

“Judas, beloved of my heart, what you have seen, keep it quiet, for my hour has not yet arrived. And it is necessary that destiny is fulfilled, and you will help me in it.”

Jesus, The Flight of the Feathered Serpent

What unfolds is one of the great spiritual books of any age, which imparts deep teachings that resonate with the Canonical and Gnostic Gospels. From the mysteries of Jesus’ life and his teachings, to the awakening and salvation of the individual, it is a book imbued with a rare wisdom found only in the most revered of sacred texts. But what is its origin? Could these be the teachings of Judas Iscariot and his account of his relationship with Jesus? Could this be Judas’ attempt to clear his own name, in a miraculous effort to change the world’s perceptions and help humanity in its spiritual quest?

“It deserves to be ranked among the great spiritual classics of all time.”

Mark H. Pritchard (Belzebuub), Spiritual teacher and author

“Judas do not be afraid,” he said to me. “You will also accompany me and you will help me in the path of regeneration so that others are saved too.”

Jesus, The Flight of the Feathered Serpent

In 1953 Armando Cosani, upon his friend’s request, published in the Spanish language the writings that make up The Flight of the Feathered Serpent. Published in English by Absolute Publishing Press.

The Middle East Becomes A Popular Travel Destination

The countries in what was called the Middle East have become more popular travel destinations. The four countries of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Israel by themselves or in combination have a lot to offer. The vast majority of travelers returned satisfied and surprised by their travel experience.

So why is this so? To best answer this, we need to know a little more about these countries and how to travel to and within them.

How to get there
Most travelers come by air. The national capitals of Damascus, Amman, Beirut and Tel Aviv all have international airports that are serviced by a range of international and Middle Eastern carriers.

Both bus and private car travel is possible between most of the countries. Generally these are via a number of single crossing points like Syria-Lebanon and Syria-Jordan at Derá on the new highway that links the two countries. Other land routes exist to bordering countries.

Land travel into/from Israel is difficult. The most common point of entry is via the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge from Jordan.

Syria has a somewhat dated rail network. Some services only run weekly but those on the popular central routes operate several services each day.

How to get around
Trains, buses and taxi’s form the centerpiece of Middle Eastern travel services. . Car hire with guide is provided by many local tourist operators. They generally are quite cost effective and worth considering. Use Google to find the operators and always ask for and check references. Most of them will require half of the booking fee wired to them before confirming the bookings. If you stay with the major operators this is generally safe.

A number of the international overland companies offer tours. Again check these on Google. A number of universities offer summer archaeological digs. Many of these are fee based but don’t require experience.

When to go
The Middle East enjoys a Mediterranean climate but the summers can be hot and the winters cold, especially in the north. March to May is the best time to visit. Those that want to soak up the sun may find the coastal areas mid-summer comfortable as temperatures are often
1000
influenced by the cooler coastal breezes. The area suffers from winter rainfall that can make sightseeing difficult and snows covers the mountains between Lebanon and Syria in mid winter.

The Countries
Syria
Syria is modern, easy to travel in and relatively safe. It’s affordable if you keep away from the more expensive five star international hotels. It has a myriad of charms with excellent food, breathtaking scenery, tons of places of historic interest and friendly people. English is generally spoken in most hotels and markets in the major centers.

Damascus is the major attraction with its wonderful markets and historic mosques and palaces. The Umyyad Mosque and the nearby mausoleum of Saladin (one of the heroes of Arab history), are a must see. Plan a couple of days to enjoy Damascus. Consider at staying in one of the renovated boutique hotels that have sprung up in the past ten years. Many of these are ancient palaces in the Old City and are well worth the little extra cost.

Do take the time to drive out to Palmyra for the site of the city that was built to rival Rome. Homs with its wall wheels is on the road to Apamea, that has a main street of two kilometers of granite columns. Both are worth visiting. Wandering around ruins of forts, mosques, churches and palaces provides a wonderful insight of life was two thousand years ago. Looping back towards Damascus the road takes you to the most famous of the Crusader castles, Krak des Chavaliers. It is remarkable intact and a must for castle enthusiasts. Guided tours are now available.

Jordan
Jordan has a selection of fascinating history to offer the tourists. It is steeped in the history of the Old Testament. The ancient cities of Petra and Jarash date back to Roman times when they were great trading cities along the Silk Road. Jarash is the “Pompeii of the East” needs a little reading to fully appreciate the historic context of the site. Take your time to explore it, you are walking through centuries of history.

Although Amman is the relatively modern capital of Jordan, you’ll find the nearby city of Salt steeped in history and well worth the visit.

But Jordan has a fascinating history of craft, Bedouin weaving, embroidery, pottery and ceramics, jewelry and glassblowing. These crafts are still very much part of Jordanian life today. The Bedouin hospitality and wonderful cuisine is still undiminished.

Driving south from Amman you’ll find the now spreading town of Petra. To walk down the half mile long suq to be surprised by the beauty of the pink stone Treasury in Petra that will take your breath away. Read about Johann Ludwig Burckhardt, who discovered Petra in 1812, before you go. His is indeed an amazing story.

South of Petra is the now modern port of Aqaba made famous by Lawrence of Arabia. West of here you’ll find Wadi Rum where the film of Lawrence was made. Here, an option is to stay with the Bedouins in their cloth covered black tents. They are remarkably comfortable. Take a camel ride out to the secret camp where Lawrence planned his desert campaigns. You might return a little saddle sore but you will have really “ridden” in the footsteps of history.

Lebanon
Lebanon is a relatively small country. The highlights are generally along the coast. Here is the colorful coastal town of Byblos and further north is the ancient Crusader city of Tripoli with its interesting souqs (markets), mosques and hammans (baths). Turning inland, you will pass through the picturesque villages of the Qadisha Valley, through the Cedars and on to historic Baalbeck which has magnificent Roman ruins said by some to be the best preserved in the world, The route continues through the vineyards at Bekaa and then Umayyad ruins of Aanjar. Nearby is the charming village of Deiral-Qamar and the Beiteddine palace with its wonderful gardens.

Israel
Don’t ignore Israel as a possible travel destination. Visa difficulties can be overcome by c
1000
areful planning with an experienced travel operator.

It’s the Holy Land and steeped in history. Most visitors head for Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Jericho but there are a number of lesser but still interesting sites like the old Roman capital of Galilee called Tzipori.

In Jerusalem, the old City of David, the Citadel and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher with the nearby Wailing Wall, draws the most tourists. What is believed to be the oldest church in the world is to be found in Bethlehem. A silver star marks the place where it is believed that Christ was born.

Some tourists choose to visit the Dead Sea. It is off Highway 90 west of Jerusalem. Personally, although unique, I think that it is overrated. Those with more time might consider visiting Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Further afield you’ll find Masada with its spectacular ruined fortress.

Take care in Israel photographing or showing interest in border and military installations or personnel. You’ll get used to the very obvious security presence.

Visas
All these countries have different visa requirements.

Generally Israel does not require a visa for most western countries. Tourists are allowed a stay of up to 90 days. However, it is necessary to avoid getting your passport stamped upon entry or exit as this can cause problems of entry into Lebanon and Syria, Ask the border officials to stamp your entry permit instead. Better still, put Israel last on your itinerary.

Jordanian visas can be obtained upon arrival at the airport and at most border crossings. It is best to get a Syrian visa in advance. USA, most EU, Australia, Canadian and New Zealand passport holders can get a visa to enter Lebanon at the border.

In summary, the countries of the Middle East are attractive and exciting travel destinations. The people that you’ll meet are friendly and if you leave politics aside, you’ll have a very enjoyable travel experience. Middle Eastern cooking is a delight and in most cities you’ll find an amazing collection of low cost restaurants. Try the local beers and wines and a few specialized drinks like Arak (Lions milk) which is commonly served with mezze, an assortment of starter dishes.

Talk to your travel agent or check out travel sites on the Internet. Do your homework and you’ll be set up for a holiday of a lifetime.

The author returned to the Middle East in 2007 after having travelled overland through the area in 1986. You can read about his travels in the book Following Marco Polo’s Silk Road. This is the story of an amazing journey through Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Pakistan, India, Tibet, China and Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
