The Gospel of Thomas 2/3

The Gospel of Thomas For spiritual seekers and those dissatisfied with the teachings of the established Church, the Gospel of Thomas Collection is a series of spiritual writings that provide unique explanations and insights into Jesus’ teachings in the Gospel of Thomas. Discovered amongst a library of books hidden for over 1500 years, the Gospel of Thomas directly reveals spiritual Teachings of Jesus. Their Life-Giving quality offers each of us inward certainty and joyousness based on a timeless tradition of Truth that was omitted from orthodox Christian dogma. It consists of sayings of Jesus almost certainly written down before 52AD and therefore pre-dating by as much as a generation all the books and epistles included in the New Testament. The Gospel reveals the spiritual Teachings of Jesus in their purest form.

    Yes :)

other teaching such as alchemy, hermeticism etc are obscure for this very same reason :)

Some people think mystery teachings are obscure to be secret, and selfish, but they dont realise they are taught this way so people initiate themselves into it, and not merely believe blindly :)

It’s written at a high level of consciousness. It causes you to search inward for the meaning and therefore it begins your journey. Enjoy the ride. :)

    Heresy is defined as:
1.)any belief or theory that is strongly at variance with established beliefs, customs, etc.
2.)Adherence to such controversial or unorthodox opinion.
My question is: What is the established belief and opinion that Christianity is dissenting from? If the orthodox is heresy and the unorthodox is heresy, than where is the true heresy?

Those who like, “The Gospel of Thomas,” need to watch the movie, “Stigmata.” As the movie is about this sacred text. It is a great movie and pretty informative about some of the themes that are embedded in the Thomasine text. Plus, got some good acting, and will definitely keep your attention to the end of the movie.

“I am convinced, for instance, that the Bible is no more divine than yesterday’s newspaper out of San Francisco, that it was engineered for specific purposes.”

And another heretic thought: I think the whole of Christian religion as we know it today is a big fucking HERESSY and everyone who believes the Bible is a damned heretic.
